Since 2017, Shermeek Yorke has led operations as the owner and manager of Curlfriends Salon in Rancho Cucamonga, California. She oversees nearly every aspect of the business, from long-term strategic growth to resolving customer concerns. She ensures high-quality service for all salon guests and handles legal, tax, and safety compliance matters. As the proprietor, Shermeek Yorke serves in many roles, including lead marketer, human resources professional, and mentor to all staff.
Over the years, Shermeek Yorke has turned Curlfriends Salon into the region’s first and most recognized upscale textured hair salon. Her staff specializes in cutting and coloring techniques for curly hair and offers services for all types of textured hair, including coily and wavy hair.
Shermeek Yorke holds a cosmetology degree from Riverside Community College. She has also studied accounting. Outside of her work at Curlfriends Salon, she spends time with friends and family. Her interests include reading, journaling, gardening, and traveling.
